Delores Haberkorn is a World Traveler and Artist that is inspired by the landscapes and animals from many lands. From painting on Key West beaches, to Sicily Italy, Mrs. Haberkorn has always painted the nuances of the cultures that she has explored. She has always associated herself with other master painters and learned from them as much as from the environment in which she travels.
When she lived in Sicily she was taken with the rich and unique culture, "which influenced my brush significantly", said Haberkorn. "with regard to the arts, music, literature, cuisine, architecture and language. Sicily also holds importance for archeological and ancient sites such as the Necropolis of Pantalica, the Valley of the Temples and Selinunte."
Architecture, and old ruins, - painted and sold work to locals. Sold painting called "St. Sebastion" painting sold to Catholic Church. I painted for a gallery, painting of a Jewish guy with curly locks. Lots of commission work.
photo trips to Germany, Key west, artist influence, locals painters teaching how to paint the tropics. Garden in Keywest was a fort, inspired - westera (plants) 3 years there. Loved the sunsets. and ship boats and fogs. Chirstmas key, tropical storms, bicycle.

Mrs. Haberkorn was part of Maitland Art and Historic Association. A member of the Orlando Art Museum. Covering a variety of subjects, i.e. landscapes, portraits, still lifes and abstracts, Haberkorn incorporates special many interest items. She is an animal enthusiast and enjoys painting dogs, cats and most animal life.
